Welcome to the Long Ball Academy

Specializing in private, one hour lessons, Long Ball prides itself in supplying each student with the tools to continue their skill improvement for the remainder of their baseball career.

Teaching your child the serious points of a game can be like teaching him/her to drive. Many times it is more beneficial for everyone if an experienced, neutral third party guides and instructs. The Long Ball Academy staff has years of combined experience in working with students both at the elementary and high school level. All necessary security clearances are obtained and current. Without a doubt, we believe your student will develop valuable skills, learn new techniques and make good friends, all in an atmosphere of safety and fun.

What's Happening @ Long Ball Academy

We build upon strength to address areas of need...

Long Ball Academy strongly believes in teaching.  Our emphasis is on defense, but the mental approach of hitting is part of our philosophy and sessions as well.  Once a student is enrolled, his or her skill and development level is evaluated; strengths as well as areas needing improvement are noted.  We build upon the student’s strengths as we address the areas of need.  We believe in using those strong points to encourage a good mental attitude towards the game and self-confidence that reflects in not only skills already mastered, but those to be learned.

Testimonials of 2009

Nate and Goose,
This email is long overdue but we wanted to say thank you for the training that Nelson received while he was at LongBall Academy. Even though he was the youngest, you guys went out of your way to make him fit in. He enjoyed everything there and really liked working out with the older boys. He really misses coming and hopes he can be part of your "team" when he gets older. He's playing again at Reynolds little league and is on the Cub's minor league team. Their first game was tonight, and despite being the smallest on his team, is the starting 2nd baseman. Not only that but he's lead off hitter and went 2 for 2 tonight. Just a week ago he asked his coach if it was too late to try out for pitching and after only 2 practices he got put into the game tonight for the 4th inning and got the first 2 hitters to ground out and struck out the 3rd. They won 10-0!

Again, thank you and I thought you guys might like the update.
